Nearly all new DSLR camera's on the market have some sort of wireless flash system available these days. Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Konica Minolta and even Samsung digital cameras have the ability to control flash units through a wireless connection with the flashes up to 30ft from the camera which is simply awesome for the consumer. But what if you find that a 30 foot range isn't enough for you? Well, the
PLUS II Wireless Transceiver

may just be what you are looking for.
These little miracles can carry a signal up to 1600' from the camera to the flash unit! But that's not all that is possible with the Plus II wireless transceivers from Pocket Wizard. You can not only trigger your remote flashes but you can trigger remote camera as well. You can also hook these transmitter/receiver units in series and extend the range of the signal if required, though I can't see needing more than 1600'. The PWII have four selectable channels in case there are multiple photographers working the same event or you can use the channels to separate different flash setups and use the channel selection to set which flashes you want to go off.
If you flash unit does not have a PC sync cord then you may need a flash hot shoe to miniphone adapter cord which plugs into the Pocket Wizard unit and then slips onto your flashes hot shoe. This cord is a simple yet strong and effective way to link your flash and PW.
